Drake and Bruce

A few weeks ago my Aunt passed away. Her funeral was in Idaho. Cliff and I were planning a trip up the following weekend to visit my good friend Miss Angela. We arranged our visit to Angi a week early and had a nice time. On the way back we were able to pay our respects to my aunt and her family. My aunt passed away from brain cancer and from what her family said it sounds like she fought a good fight but had realistic expectations of her body and kept her humor at the same time.

My friend Angi's dad has been fighting lung cancer for the last several years and recently it has moved into his brain. They believe that radiation treatments will help the cancer in his brain and he will be starting that next week. He too has been similar to my aunt in his fight against his cancer, taking it day by day, fighting as hard as he can, but being realistic and keeping a good and positive attitude. I am amazed by him, my aunt, anyone that faces this kind of challenge in life and doesn't let them beat them even if it robs them of life. What an good example of COURAGE.
